Our Training Services

Our health & wellness training center is dedicated to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals with excellence, compassion, and purpose. Through hands-on instruction, state-approved programs, and supportive mentorship, we equip students with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the growing healthcare field.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Learn the essential skills to provide hands-on care for patients and residents in hospitals, nursing homes, and home care settings. We combine classroom instruction with practical training to prepare you for state certification and a rewarding healthcare career.

Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Expand your caregiving skills by becoming certified to safely administer medications under the supervision of licensed nurses. This program equips you with the knowledge and confidence to support patient health and play a vital role on any healthcare team.

CPR/First Aid Certification

Gain the confidence to save lives with our CPR and basic first aid training. You’ll learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, children, and infants, earning certification that meets workplace and healthcare requirements.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Designed for healthcare providers, this course teaches high-quality CPR, use of AEDs, and effective response techniques for life-threatening emergencies. Our BLS certification ensures you are prepared to act quickly and effectively when every second counts.

Certified Nursing Assistant
Training Enrollment

The CNA Nurse Aide Training Program at Devine Nurses Health & Wellness is an accelerated 3-4 week (75-hour) Ohio NATCEP-approved training course designed to prepare future Nurse Aides to deliver compassionate, safe, and professional care in long-term care facilities, home health, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. We have two classes available for schedule flexibility offering weekday and weekend classes.

Program Details

The course includes 59 hours of classroom and hands-on skills lab training, followed by 16 hours of supervised clinical practice at an approved healthcare facility.

Class Schedules:

Day Class: (3-Week Program)

Week 1: Monday–Wednesday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Week 2: Monday–Wednesday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Week 3: Thursday & Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Clinicals)

 

Weekend Class: (4-Week Program)

Week 1: Friday–Sunday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Week 2: Saturday & Sunday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Week 3: Saturday & Sunday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Week 4: Friday–Sunday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
 

Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to take the Ohio State Nurse Aide Competency Exam to become a State-Tested Nurse Aide (STNA).

What You Will Learn:

  • Role & responsibilities of a Nurse Aide

  • Infection control & safety procedures

  • Measuring and recording vital signs

  • Bed mobility, positioning, and transfers

  • Personal care: bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting

  • Communication skills & cultural sensitivity

  • Understanding dementia, aging, and mental health needs

  • Residents’ rights, ethics, and legal standards

  • Workplace professionalism and career readiness

Program Requirements

Program cost includes textbook, candidate handbook, skills lab supplies, clinical placement, exam prep, certificate, and scrub top.

Students must complete a BCI background check before clinicals.  Students are responsible for the full cost of the background check.  Must be completed no later than Day 3
Failure to complete BCI = removal from the program without refund.
